Theatre In Education
DrugFAM has a firm attitude about the importance to educate people about the hazards that drug abuse can create both to the abuser as well as to his loved ones and family members. We bring awareness and educate them through theatre and plays, one of the performance we do is, 'Mum, would you be able to loan me twenty quid? What drugs did to my family'.
We all need a helping hand from time to time, physically challenged persons more due to limitation of resources to manage issues in life. Our criteria of this service is for two members from DrugFAM talked to personally meet with them to talk about the other people who affect their lives with drug or alcohol use. This is offered only to persons who have lost someone to addiction or those with an addict in their family.
One To One Support
With this approach, we provide new members of our support groups introduction to family support groups system. One of the benefit of this one to one support group is, it also provide a chance to talk with our facilitator and share their story and problems of how get into this problem and what is disturbing them.
But this is not an existing relationship close by the group or outside of the group.
DrugFAM has in place six channels to offer moral support to grieving family members from substance abuse.
